   Welcome to Active Minds!


Active Minds is the nation's only nonprofit organization dedicated to raising mental health awareness among college students on the peer level.  Active Minds works with student leaders on college campuses across the US and Canada to:

 

  • Promote awareness about mental health

 

  • Help identify symptoms of mental illness

 

  • Direct students to available resources on campus and in the community

 

Active Minds at The University of Memphis is open to any member of the university community(students, faculty and staff), who is interested in working to help reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues.  In order to become an active member of Active Minds, you must:

 

  • Be affiliated with the university(student, faculty, staff, or alumni)

 

  • Have at least a 2.0 GPA(students)

 

  • Be in good standing with the university
